About

Honest dermatology, named after a cat.

Earl Is My Cat is online skin care from a board-certified dermatologist, built on a radical idea: you deserve straight answers and only the things that actually work. (And yes — named after the cat.)

The doctor

Earl Is My Cat was founded by Dr. Auston Eckert, a board-certified dermatologist who spent years watching people pour money into ten-step routines, miracle creams, and whatever the internet was selling that week — most of which did nothing.

So he built the opposite: a place where a real dermatologist looks at your skin, tells you the truth, and gives you a short, sensible plan. Sometimes that's a prescription. Sometimes it's two products instead of nine. Sometimes it's "you're already doing too much — please stop."

No hype. No endless upsells. Just dermatology, the way it should have been all along.

Meet Earl

Every honest operation needs a supervisor. Ours is Earl — a silver tabby with pale blue eyes and unreasonable confidence, who oversees the company largely by sleeping near it.

He doesn't have a medical degree. He has never read a single study. But he is an excellent judge of a warm spot, and he is the reason this whole thing has his name on it.

What we believe

A real doctor, every time

Dr. Eckert reviews your visit personally. No bots, no quiz-result "diagnoses."

Minimalist by default

The fewest products that'll actually do the job — often fewer than you have now.

Radically honest

If something won't help, we'll say so — even when it costs us a sale.

Evidence over hype

What the science actually supports, in plain English, not marketing copy.

Prescriptions only when they help

Real treatment when it's warranted — never just to make a sale.

Followed over time

Not a one-and-done transaction. Your skin, looked after as it changes.

Not your average online skin quiz

Most online skin care runs you through a questionnaire and spits out a "diagnosis" from an algorithm. Here, an actual board-certified dermatologist — the same one, with a name and a face (and a cat) — reviews your skin and stands behind the plan.

That's the whole difference. And it's everything.

Ready when you are.
